MBA and BIAW Health Insurance Trusts
The non-profit MBA Health Insurance Trust was formed in 1986. Capital Benefit Services partnered with the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties, Regence BlueShield and Group Health to form an exclusive program that would provide large-company purchasing power to clients in the building and construction industry. The success of the MBA Trust was quickly evident and in 1990, the BIAW Health Insurance Trust was formed when Capital Benefit Services and its carrier partners joined forces with the Building Industry Association of Washington. The Trusts have recently expanded their membership criteria beyond the building and construction industries to allow companies in many other industries access to these plans. Today the Trusts provide health insurance benefits to over 2,700 companies who collectively insure more than 80,000 lives.
Our Exclusive Administrator:
EPK & Associates
EPK & Associates has been the exclusive administrator for the MBA & BIAW Health Insurance Trusts since 1990. EPK assists member companies with initial enrollment, general customer service, billing and eligibility issues, and COBRA administration. Administrative services provided by EPK & Associates come at no extra cost to member companies.
