Breastfeeding offers a wide range of benefits for both babies and parents. It provides ideal nutrition, strengthens the baby’s immune system, and fosters bonding. For mothers, it can also support postpartum recovery and reduce the risk of certain health conditions.

Nutrition While Breastfeeding

  • Focus on a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats.

  • Stay hydrated and consider limiting caffeine and alcohol.

  • Get enough calories! Eating for 2 means you need more calories, follow doctor guidance for your specific calorie intake

Supporting Others with Breastfeeding

  • Support can look like offering encouragement, helping with bottle prep, or simply listening to loved ones.

  • Ensure you or your loved ones get proper medical professional support for breastfeeding, as it’s not always an easy journey.

  • Whether breastfed or formula-fed, a nourished and healthy baby is what truly matters. Not everyone can breastfeed—and that’s okay.

Let’s use this month to celebrate, educate, and support all feeding journeys!
