Benefits of The Employee Assistance Program

Did you know that our health trust offers employee assistance programs through First Choice Health? These programs are considered extras but are included with most plans in the health trust! They are extremely helpful to employees, especially as they navigate difficult times in their lives. Whether battling depression, overcoming legal challenges, seeking child or elderly care, or buying a home for the first time, there are programs to help along the way.

Services Provided Through the Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

  1. EAP Counseling Sessions: 3 Free Sessions per individual covered, 24/7 hotline, & a whole-person approach to care (note: these sessions are at no extra cost and don’t use your health plan benefits)

  2. Child & Elderly Care: Consultations & referral resources to help you find care for those you live while you work

  3. Legal Support: Legal support consultations to help you get on the right path before you hire a lawyer  

  4. Homeownership Assistance: Get financial guidance and assistance with understanding the process for home buying, especially helpful for first time buyers

  5. Virtual Counseling: Through “Talkspace” & “Help Texts”, members can get the assistance they need without scheduling in-person appointments

  6. Benefit Hub: A unique offering that provides discounted goods and services
